The Importance of Having Quality Alone Time

As people would say, motherhood is a 24/7 job and mothers are superheroes disguised in casual house clothes. From early in the morning until night time, most moms are busy: either juggling home and career life or focused on being a stay-at-home mom. You might wonder how they are able to do it and if they ever felt tired doing the same things every single day. Indeed motherhood is a calling that requires great patience and sacrifice.

But here’s the real deal: mothers don’t have super powers and they do get tired and exhausted too. Ever felt the need to just step back and not do the laundry? Or put those errands aside for a day and just have a good sleep? These feelings are pretty normal because moms need to rest and relax too. As a person, it is very important for anyone to spend some quality time alone. It allows you to focus on your well-being and have the time to ponder on some thoughts that you’ve been putting aside.

A "me time" last December...Actually preparing for the Bloggers Party...

Once a woman becomes a mother there’s that commitment to the family and it may take up most of your time but it also important to allocate some moment to be alone and have some “me time”. Never think of this as being selfish and feel guilty about it, the reality is that you really need to be alone sometimes in order to address your personal needs. It may be just for a few hours, a day or over the weekend, the duration of your personal time is not really essential, the important part is you are able to reconnect to yourself again.

Spend the day at a spa, get a massage or travel and escape the city life. Make sure to have activities planned out on how you want to spend your free time. Remember that this is very important in order to feel renewed and relaxed. Once you come back, you’ll have a new perspective and have the motivation to continue on your role as a wife and mother.

Watching Live Concerts

My husband and I have been talking about our  previous experiences watching live concerts during our college days. How we so enjoyed it especially when our common favorite filipino rock band Eraserheads are the one playing on stage. Most of the time, concert goers went wild during the performance and it is  a good thing that  crowd control devices are available to keep everyone safe.

To be further kept apart from the crowd,  we usually avail tickets near the stage which are only separated by a stanchions so watching the concerts becomes more exciting. Although ticket prices are a bit higher compared with the standard rate, it was okay because in that manner we get to enjoy the show and at the  same time feeling a little safer near the front stage.

One thing I noticed during most concerts aside from the usual barricades, are the velvet rope which are installed  in  the event venue which  in a way controls the crowd. I believe that  utilizing  equipment  like the ones I saw in the concert generally keeps the event more organized.

A Treasured Friendship

As I was looking for some photos and thinking of what to post in my blog, I have come across this pictures... a quick picture-taking with Flo during our momentous reunion after sixteen long years.

A treasure moment with my dearest friend...

I am so thankful that Flo took an effort to see me during her Davao Trip. There's a lot of stories to tell and a lot of old memories to remember but time didn't allow us to do so but what is important is we have finally saw each other after sixteen years. Yes, sixteen long years of not seeing each other but we have managed to keep our friendship intact.

I believe that there are friendship that lasts a lifetime and one of those is ours. I think no words can best describe our friendship but the title of this post. This is actually a borrowed phrase from Flo's blog post about this reunion. Thank you friend. Hope to see you again soon. I love you.

Thank you Sis Krizza for the First Comment...

CDO Vacation: Lunch With My Bestfriends

We arrived in Cagayan de Oro two days before Yoshi's birthday last November. My sister asked for my assistance in shopping some of the stuff for Yoshi's 2nd birthday celebration a day after our arrival. While doing some shopping, my best friend Lucille called me and decided to join us for lunch. I was overjoyed  upon seeing her because it has been years since our last meeting.
Most of the party favors can be found somewhere in Cogon so we decided to meet at the nearby McDonald's in  Ororama. Since my sister just tagged me along, it gives me  an excuse not to shell out any penny for our lunch.Lol! I think the lunch was courtesy of them both... ;)

Me and my sister...
Don't you think she ordered too much?

My  gorgeous best friends...Sis Allyn and Mareng Lucille...

We super enjoyed our time together catching up over lunch. Lucille and I have been  friends since our first year in college in 1995. Try do the math so you'll know how many years we have been  together as friends. We practically hang out everyday during college days and to save me some extra bucks for food, she would invite me to stay at their house for a few days. Her whole family have in fact became my second family in Cagayan de Oro.

The time with my best friends didn't end up after lunch because Lucille decided to come with us at home to spend some extra bonding time. We surely miss each other a lot! That afternoon, we talked about a lot of things from the past, the present, the future and everything we can think of. I find great joy seeing her happily married with the man she loves and being blessed with two lovely daughters who are consistently making them proud of their achievements in school.

Adgitize Is Closing

I was so shocked  to see my Adgitize ads today stating  that Adgitize is closing. I immediately checked and log in into my Adgitize account  and I was just greeted by the post that says that indeed adgitize is closing. Adgitize have stopped showing ads since the 1st day of January this year. The announcement was made by Mr. Ken Brown last December 27, 2011. Adgitize's website will only serve its publishers and advertisers until the 31st of January 2012.

It saddens me to see Adgitize go because it really generates traffic for my blogs. I was once an advertiser and advertising with Adgitize  really worked for me. Now that that adgitize is closing and previously the CMF Ads; as a blogger, the only venue left for me  to promote my blog now  is  through Entrecard. I guess it's time to get serious with dropping ECs now that Adgitize is gone.

To those  who still have a few bucks left from Adgitize, please click HERE to know the complete details.

Is Bankruptcy Lawyer Necessary?

Most of the people I know can always relate to one common topic and that is debt. Who doesn't have debt nowadays? Rich and poor people alike have their own share of stories to tell about their finances.  It has been somewhat a practice that when  somebody wants to have some things they can not afford to pay up front, the immediate option is to get a loan or mortgage some existing properties to acquire new ones. This is usually the case when projects over projects are being implemented be it in a business entity  or in a family situation.

Debt is good when if it is use for a good purpose like getting a home loan to give your family a decent place to stay. Other people utilizes their credit cards to pay for hospital bills and purchase the much needed medicine for their loved ones who are sick. But sometimes too much dependence on loans and credit cards can lead you to trouble especially when bills after bills start to pile up.

You will definitely be at lost when obligations start to put pressure on you. If you do not know what to do, I think a Bankruptcy Lawyer has some answers for you. Getting somebody knowledgeable like a Bankruptcy Attorney will be of great  help to the current situation you are in. Talking to a bankruptcy lawyer will guide you what to do. You need to be honest with your financial condition so that proper advice will be given and right option will be made.

If debts have become unmanageable and you are looking for  ways to address it without creating much hassle with the people around you, seeing Bankruptcy Attorneys will give you the benefit of getting the much needed information. There are always an appropriate way to address things and getting the proper recommendation from the people who knows it best will enable you to make the right decision.
